Toronto Raptors Vs Golden State Warriors Prediction : Toronto Raptors +2.5 Point SpreadWhat a series we have on our hands. After five incredible games, the series switches back to San Francisco where Golden State will play their final game ever at Oracle Arena. Despite the ‘Dubs being 4/9 favourites prior to game one, they face two must-win games in order to be crowned champions for the third straight year.
Although Toronto went into game five just one win away from their first NBA Championship, all the attention was on the return of Kevin Durant. KD missed the entirity of the Western Conference semi-finals as well as the first four NBA Finals games which saw Toronto take a 3-1 lead. Unfortunately, after a brilliant start to the game, Durant managed only 11 minutes on the court before suffering a devastating achilles injury. He is now likely to miss the entirety of the 2019/20 season with the likelihood of him now remaining a Golden State Warriors player.
Despite the setback, Golden State remained calm to play a strong game on the road in Toronto. The Dubs took as much as a 15 point lead by the third quarter on a night which saw Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combine for 57 points. Durants 11 points and 12 minutes on the court proved crucial in the end as Golden State survived to win by just 1 point. A lot of credit must be given to Draymond Green and Demarcus Cousins in game five. The pair racked up 24 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks with Green also blocking the final shot which could have seen Toronto lift the trophy.
